Day 12 - The end.... but what an end!

12 days, four performances, super hot weather and the boys never stopped giving. Today was bitter sweet as we all knew the tour was coming to an end. It was a fantastic way to finish an extraordinary trip. From the first days in Beijing to the Terracotta Warriors to the final concert, everything was beyond our wildest dreams. There is no question everyone has had an experience that will last forever.

This will be my last post and I hope you have enjoyed following the trip on the Blog. Don't forget to view all the pictures on the photo site. (click on the link to the right)

We will be home soon.

Cheers from China......

Day 11 - Tall buildings, silk, open markets and a boat cruise

Just when everyone thought the trip was winding down we ramped it up. The day was started with a trip up to the 100th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center. What an amazing sight of the city below. We continued with a tour of a Silk factory. Once again out came the credit cards. Our afternoon was spent in the Yu Yuan garden and an open market in the downtown area. To finish off the day we all enjoyed a great boat cruse along the Huangpu river. Wow.... what a great day.

Tomorrow is our final concert and our farewell dinner. Stay tuned for more pictures..

Cheers, Mr. V.

Day Ten part two...

After a great day, the Bund area needed to be explored. Across the river from Bund road is the tallest office tower in the world (101 floors) among many other amazing buildings. It was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen.

See you tomorrow....... Mr. V.

Day Ten - Half over and wow, what a day....

Today was the big day. The year's work all came together with a wonderful performance in front of thousands of people at the Canada pavilion. The monsoon like rain, 34C heat and massive crowds didn't phase our boys from performing with honor for Crescent School. They sounded well-rehearsed and looked fantastic in their #1's. As the concert progressed we decided to let the boys remove their green jackets as the heat and humidity was too much.

Congratulations to Dr. Boyes, Mr. Crone, Susan Ball our accompanist and to all the boys for a memory that will last a lifetime. I know it will for me......

Please check out the photo link to the right for lots of fantastic pictures of today...

Day 6 - Beijing

Today was a day to remember....

The boys performed today on the Great Wall. It was a wonderful experience and something people will never forget. The backdrop was a sight to see and our pictures don't do it justice.

After the concert the group had lunch in a wonderful restaurant with the main dish being grilled sea bass. After our meal we traveled to the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Almost everyone climbed up a few sections. It was absolutely incredible.

Tomorrow we travel to Xian and we are all looking forward to the Terracotta Warriors and our performance on the city wall Sunday. Stay tuned.....

Photos will be uploaded to Photobucket later today. We are traveling tomorrow so internet access will be scarce. Keep checking though....
