Day 4... WOW....
An 8:30 AM choir practice and a return to the hotel time of 9:45 PM. What a great day!
After the choir practice the morning started off with a visit to the 400 million Canadian dollar (3.4 billion Chinese Yuan) National Theatre. It just opened in January. What an amazing place. After being in awe at the Theatre we traveled to the Beijing Historical Museum for a self-guided tour and lunch. The next stop was the famous Birds Nest. A 92,000 seat Olympic stadium. With the water cube right next door we experienced two fantastic sites at once.
Back onto the bus and out of the 34 Celsius weather and on to the 789 Art District. A famous art area with neat shops and amazing art on display. To finish the day was a world class restaurant called Da Dong Peking Duck. What a special treat.
Now that we are back at the hotel and it's 10:50 PM, it's time for bed because 7 AM comes early. We can't wait for tomorrow... Don't forget to click on the picture link to the right and if you would like to make a comment please click on any of the "comment" links at the bottom of each post.
Cheers and good night??? or should I say good morning...
